The Maldives, Our Honeymoon.
Updated: Aug 19, 2020
We were beyond blessed to be sent to the Maldives for our Honeymoon! The Maldives is a tropical nation in the Indian Ocean composed of 26 ring-shaped atolls, which are made up of more than 1,000 coral islands. It’s known for its beaches, blue lagoons and extensive reefs. It’s everything you’d expect it to be, and better.
We stayed at the ADAARAN SELECT HUDHURANFUSHI.
Besides eating all the food, and sunbathing, we had chance to scuba dive and snorkel on the beautiful reefs. We saw sharks being fed, watched the sunsets and stargazed. We basically relaxed and did what honeymooners do best.
On our island (that’s right, we shared it with other guests, but it felt like our own private island) they were hosting a surf competition, apparently the waves in the Maldives are pretty big, who knew?
If you want a holiday where you are pampered and sun kissed, then this is the place for you. You can also compare the beaches to those in East Africa, so for a smaller budget, and less glam... but Indian ocean, white sand beaches, and an option of a safari.
We got married in 2014, we borrowed our friend's GoPro (the old ones in the housing), and we used the Canon 650D for snaps... this was the first Vlog we ever made... enjoy!
